Many among our parishioners requested that we reconsider the coffee hour guidelines for special occasions. On October 4, 2016 the parish council revisited the coffee hour guidelines and agreed on allowing to bring in food for special occasions (baptisms, engagements, 40 days memorial liturgy, one year memorial liturgy …)

Here are some guidelines to help organize our coffee hours:

+Anyone can sign up to sponsor a Coffee Hour and any Sunday can be your Sunday unless we have a church function. Don’t rely on the same people every week.

+More than one person can sign up to share the Coffee Hour. Sometimes the cost and effort is a little less when parishioners share the responsibility.

+The quantity or variety is completely up to the sponsor. However, a simple pot of coffee and something to munch is certainly acceptable.

+What do you need? Anyone who does the Coffee Hour needs to be there to set up, clean up afterwards & each person must remain to take charge of their coffee hour. At the end of the coffee hour, make sure all remaining food is removed, and the room is cleaned.

+ What kind of food can you serve? For regular Sundays, let us keep our coffee hour simple and small. That’s why you are asked to be simple with what you serve. Here are some suggestions:  Bagel and chesse. Zaatar & Labneh, Muffins, hummus, bean dips, salsa, fruit, vegetables, Sfoof, Nammoura, baked goods and other finger light foods…

Entrées dishes are allowed FOR SPECIAL OCCASIONS  after being approved by the pastor.

+ The cups, plates, napkins, coffee and Sugar are provided by the parish.

+ If no one sponsors the coffee hour, the parish will provide only coffee.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask!
