In the Maronite Church, the Mystery of Chrism (Sacrament of Confirmation) is administered at the same time as Baptism. However some of the children and parishioners of our Mission didn’t receive the Mystery (Sacrament) of Confirmation when they were baptized.
While his visit to our Mission from October 21-23, 2016, Bishop Gregory John Mansour will give the Mystery of Chrism (Sacrament of Confirmation) to all those who didn’t receive it yet on Sunday October 23 during the Divine Liturgy.
All candidates who want to receive the Mystery of Chrism need to:
1- Fill Form 103.1 Chrismation Covenant and mail it back to the parish office by October 1st, 2016
2- Each candidate need to provide a copy of a sacramental certificates for all Sacraments received at churches other then St. Sharbel Mission (no older then SIX months)
3- Each candidate need two Godparents. God parents must be Catholic or at least one Catholic the second one can be Orthodox (No other denominations are allowed)
4- Godparents who are not members of St Sharbel Mission need to fill Form 103.2 Godparent’s Certificate and submit it to the parish office by October 1st, 2016
5- the Godparents cannot be the father or mother of the candidate and they must be 18 years old and above.
